Do we do medical care?
While we do have referrals to other medical services, we do not do hands-on medical care or interventions. We can do medication reminders and assistance with appointments, but do not do transfers or personal care.
Do we have references?
Yes we do! Our team has been involved helping many seniors in need for many years and we would be glad to share these with you. Our business profile is also listed with the Better Business Bureau of Vancouver Island and we are looking for stellar reviews and ratings!
Are we licensed and registered?
Yes. We are registered in the Province of BC as a certified companion care business and proprietorship, and have our legal number in place.
Can we do foot care?
Our current staff does not, however we have a very close contact who is also a certified LPN who we refer out to do this specialty service.
How does billing work?
We bill clients once per month based on hours served on the previous month unless otherwise arranged. Payments can be made by the client or a family representative.
Do we help with cooking?
Our dedicated and trained staff are well acquainted with kitchen work and will be glad to assist with meal preparation. Staff are trained in "food safe" practices and have certification.
Is a male companion available?
At this time we have 1 male companion who is also our handyman. He is available part-time on a case by case basis as needed.
What does housekeeping entail?
Housekeeping entails any form of light cleaning/duties. It does not include deep cleaning or professional cleaning. If our clients are in need of this, we have references!
Is there a minimum time commitment?
We require a 2 hour minimum. At this time, we do not have a weekly or monthly minimum commitment requirements.
